To preserve water quality and hygiene, only fitted, elastane swimwear is allowed in our swimsuit areas.

Authorized swimwear

• Men: fitted swimsuits mandatory (see photo).
• Women: one-piece swimsuit or bikini (buttocks must be covered at all times).

Prohibited swimwear

• Women: thongs, burkinis, ...

Why elastane?

Elastane is a synthetic fiber renowned for its elasticity and water-repellent properties. At Waer Waters, hygiene is a priority, and water quality plays an essential role in your experience. That's why we ask our visitors to wear bathing attire that minimizes water pollution.

Elastane retains little moisture and dries faster than other materials. This reduces the risk of bacterial and fungal growth, which proliferate more easily in porous fabrics like cotton.

• Minimal absorption of impurities

Thanks to its low absorption rate, elastane doesn't trap water or impurities (sweat, sebum, dead cells, cosmetics), unlike fabrics like cotton or polyester. This limits bacterial growth and water pollution.
