Why we're checking your identity card

We ask our customers to provide personal data that is necessary for the execution of the agreement concluded with WAERBOOM-GROEP. These personal data are only collected and processed for use of our services and communication purposes (see our privacy conditions), more specifically for the following: 

• customer administration (reservation and payment); 
• safety of customers while they are at our premises (e.g. for emergency services and evacuation); 
• contacting customers where necessary for performance of our service contract, as well as in cases of lost belongings; 

Automatically reading scanning an identity card is the most efficient way for us to collect this personal data and to ensure that it is correct. 

In this case, by automatically reading the identity card we can only collect personal data for which no pin code or other authentication is required (identification data such as the photo, name, address details, place and date of birth and national registration number). We cannot access or get an extract from criminal records through automatically reading the identity card. 

In fact, we only keep the personal data that are necessary for the performance of our services.
